There was no equipment available on the market to inspect the axles of wheelsets with brake disks. A representative of ÖBB contacted IBB Technology with a proposal to develop such equipment from scratch.

It was then decided to apply to the German Ministry of Trade and Industry for funding, as the development required a significant investment.

This project was unique as it was designed completely from scratch for the specific needs of ÖBB, ensuring compliance with Austrian and EU standards and the requirements of the railway industry.

The project for ÖBB proved to be technically challenging and long-term, as it required the creation of unique equipment, customization and the elimination of unexpected technical difficulties.

However, despite the challenges, the solution was successfully developed.
